General Code of Ethics

• ⁠Students are reminded to keep your personal belongings safe. Yan Art Centre (YAC) will not be responsible for any loss or damage in the students' personal belongings.

• Please help to maintain cleanliness of the art centre.

• ⁠Smoking or vaping are strictly prohibited indoors. (Violators will be fined RM100)

Terms & Conditions for Classes

Purchasing of Credit Packages

• Each of our classes are payable by Credit Points, you can purchase Credit Points fr the Main Menu > Package > Credit Package.

• You must make sure there are enough Credit Points before booking any of the classes. 1 Class = 1 Credit.

• Different Package type has its own validity period. (Eg.: 4-credit package's validity is 30 days, 8-credit package's validity is 60 days.) Validity period of expired credits cannot be further extended.

• The validity of each Package will start immediately from the date you attended the first class in the Package.

• If you did not make any class bookings after purchasing the Credit Package, it's validity will start automatically on the 30th day after you've made your purchase.

• Purchased Credit Package cannot be transferred / refunded due to whatever reasons by the students.

• If the teacher / YAC decides to cancel a class (due to whatever reasons including Public Holidays), students will be refunded the class Credits, and the refunded Credit validity will be extended for another 7 days.

Class Rules

• Our admins will only be online / on duty during Operating Hours mentioned below:

  • Mon - Fri: 10am-9pm

  • Sat - Sun: 10am-6pm

• When you first book a class, our admins will add you into the class' WhatsApp group chat.

• Class schedules are subjected to change, and for any changes or cancellation to the classes, YAC will inform directly in the group chat.

• ⁠Booking must be made before each class (no walk in without prior booking), as we need to make sure there's enough students for a class to run.

• If you need to cancel your booking, please inform in the group or message our admins directly via WhatsApp, to ensure that we stay informed in a timely manner and do not miss any updates. You will also need to cancel your booking in the AUAU website.

• For class cancellation made at least 3 hours before the class, we will refund the Credit Point back into your AUAU account. (But please bear in mind there will be no extension given for the Credit validity period). For class cancellation made within 3 hours before the class, or no show, no refund will be given.

• ⁠If students are late for a class, there will be no time replacement given.

Terms & Conditions for Courses / Workshops / Appointments

Purchasing of Courses / Workshops / Appointments

• Purchased courses / workshops / appointments cannot be transferred / refunded due to whatever reasons by the students.

• If the teacher / YAC decides to cancel a course / workshop / appointment (due to whatever reasons including Public Holidays), students will be fully refunded.

Non-Violence Policy

• Please treat our staff and fellow students with respect. We aim to provide a safe environment for our staff and students, and the use or threat of force against our staff and students, or any attempt to do so, is unacceptable. This includes swearing, threatening or abusive language or gestures, sexual gestures or behaviour, derogatory sexual or racial remarks, shouting loudly or in an intimidating manner or at any person, and applying force to any centre property or the personal property of any staff, such as banging on or kicking desks or counters.

• YAC can terminate any package with or without notice/explanation and with immediate effect if Students or/and Family Members is found to have been disrespectful to our staff and other students.

Class Package Termination

• YAC reserves the right to terminate the Class Packages / Courses / Workshops / Appointments purchased of any student found to be in breach of any Terms and Conditions with or without notice or explanation. Said Student shall not be entitled to any refunds and will be blacklisted from YAC.

Liability Waiver

• In consideration for the Management of YAC accepting his/her application and for him/her becoming and remaining a Student, the Student agrees that:

  1. Neither YAC, its employees or staffs shall be responsible for any claims, demands, injuries, damages, or actions for negligence arising on account of death or due to injury, loss, damage or theft to a Student's person or property arising out of, or in connection with the use by a Student of any of the services, facilities or premises of YAC. The Student shall indemnify and hold harmless YAC, its related employees and staffs from all claims which may be brought against them by or on a Student's behalf for any such injuries or claims aforesaid.

  2. Any Family Members of a Student or temporary visitor to YAC agrees to abide by the same centre rules and regulation, and the same terms and conditions as a Student.

Collection of Personal Data

• By signing up for Services with YAC, the Student consents to YAC and its related entities collecting, using, and disclosing their personal data, and sharing such data with business partners for marketing and promotional purposes.

Usage of Photos or Videos

• By signing up for Services with YAC, the Student consents to YAC and its related entities to use photos or videos taken of the Student and his/her artworks within the spaces of YAC, or during events organized by YAC, for publications, exhibitions or other promotional purposes.

By signing up for Services with YAC, the Student acknowledges and agrees to the terms and conditions outlined in this document.

• 我们的每堂课均需使用积分支付。您可以通过主菜单 > 配套 > 积分配套购买积分。

• 在预定任何课堂之前，您必须确保您的账户中有足够的积分。1堂课 = 1积分。

• 不同类型的积分配套有不同的有效期。（例如：4积分配套有效期为30天，8积分配套有效期为60天。）过期积分的有效期无法被延长。

• 每个配套的有效期将从您参加配套中的第一堂课起开始计算。

• 如果您购买了积分配套后没有进行任何课堂预定，配套的有效期将在您购买后的第30天自动开始。

• 已购买的积分配套无论出于何种原因，均不可转让或退款。

• 如果教师或岩美学馆决定取消课堂（包括公共假期等原因），学生将获得积分退款，退款后的积分有效期将被延长7天。

课堂规则

• 我们的管理员将在以下工作时间内提供在线/值班服务：

  • 周一至周五：上午10点至晚上9点

  • 周六至周日：上午10点至下午6点

• 当您第一次预定课堂时，我们的管理员将把您添加到课堂的WhatsApp群聊中。

• 课堂时间表可能会有所变化，任何课堂的更改或取消，岩美学馆将通过群聊直接通知。

• 每堂课必须提前预定（没有预定的情况不接受随到随报），我们需要确保有足够的学生才能开课。

• 如果您需要取消预定，请在群聊中通知我们或直接通过WhatsApp联系管理员，确保我们能及时获得信息并不会错过任何更新。您还需要在AUAU网站上取消您的预定。

• 如果您在课堂开始前至少3小时取消预定，我们将把学分退回到您的AUAU账户。（但请注意，学分有效期不会因此延长）。如果您在课堂开始前3小时内取消预定，或未到场，则不予退款。

• 如果学生迟到，将不予以时间补偿。

课程 / 工作坊 / 预约的条款与条件

课程 / 工作坊 / 预约的购买

• 已购买的课程/工作坊/预约无论出于何种原因，均不可转让或退款。

• 如果教师或岩美学馆决定取消课程/工作坊/预约（包括公共假期等原因），学生将获得全额退款。

非暴力政策

• 请尊重我们的工作人员和其他学生。我们致力于为工作人员和学生提供一个安全的环境，任何对工作人员和学生使用威胁或暴力的行为，或任何尝试此类行为，皆不可被接受。这包括使用脏话、威胁或侮辱性语言或手势、性暗示或行为、贬损性性别或种族言论、大声喊叫或以威胁性方式对任何人发火，或对任何工作室财物或工作人员的个人财物施加暴力，例如砸桌子或踢柜台等等。

• 如果学生或其家庭成员被发现对岩美学馆的工作人员或其他学生不尊重，岩美学馆有权在没有通知或解释的情况下立即终止任何配套。

课堂配套终止

• 如果学生违反任何条款和条件，岩美学馆有权在没有通知或解释的情况下终止其已购买的课堂配套/课程/工作坊/预约。该学生将无法获得任何退款，并将被列入岩美学馆黑名单。

责任豁免

• 鉴于岩美学馆管理层接受其申请并让其成为学生，学生同意：

  1. 岩美学馆及其员工不对任何因学生使用岩美学馆任何服务、设施或场地而导致的死亡、伤害、损失、损害或盗窃的索赔、要求、伤害、损害或因疏忽引起的行为负责。学生应并使岩美学馆及其相关员工免受任何由学生或代表学生提出的此类伤害或索赔的责任。

  2. 学生的任何家庭成员或临时访客同意遵守与学生相同的馆内规则和规定，以及相同的条款和条件。

个人数据收集

• 通过注册岩美学馆的服务，学生同意让岩美学馆及其相关单位收集、使用和披露其个人数据，并将该数据与商业伙伴共享，以用于营销和推广目的。

照片或视频使用

• 通过注册岩美学馆的服务，学生同意让岩美学馆及其相关单位使用在岩美学馆场地内或在岩美学馆主办的活动中所拍摄的学生及其艺术作品的照片或视频，用于出版、展览或其他推广目的。

通过注册岩美学馆的服务，学生承认并同意本文件中列出的条款与条件。
