Meticulous painting is one of the fundamental subjects in Chinese painting, characterized by its detailed depiction and meticulous techniques. This beginner course introduces students to the tools and materials, involves replicating the works of renowned masters to familiarize students with traditional meticulous painting techniques, and includes nature observation and artwork appreciation.
Course Content
• Line Drawing – Mastering linework and brush techniques
• Coloring – Understanding color application and blending techniques
• Appreciation – Studying and analyzing masterpieces by renowned artists
• The learning process begins with replicating the works of renowned masters, such as Wang Daozhong's Peonies, to master line control and shading techniques, followed by students' independent creation.
