Tea Ceremony

The Way of Tea is the art of appreciating the beauty of tea. It is also viewed as a lifestyle that encompasses the preparation and enjoyment of tea, a ceremonial etiquette centered around tea, and a way of personal cultivation through tea. The spirit of the Way of Tea is the essence of tea culture.

Through the processes of making, appreciating, smelling, and drinking tea, the Way of Tea fosters friendship, cultivates inner peace and virtue, teaches proper conduct, and allows one to experience traditional values. Course Content

Guided Tea Tasting Session

1. Haixi Rock Tea Brand Products

A guided discussion on the tea's flavor and aroma characteristics, focusing on aspects such as natural ecology, tree age, traditional slow roasting methods, and the importance of proper heat in crafting the tea’s profile.

2. Pu-erh Tea from the 1990s and Earlier

A guided discussion on production techniques, collection years and storage conditions, brewing equipment, water quality, water temperature, and other key factors that contribute to the tea’s unique characteristics.

3. Ancient Tree Pu-erh Tea from Guliu Mountain (Sun-Dried Green Process)

A guided comparison of brewing methods (A vs. B) for various tree ages, including decades-old, century-old, 200+ year-old pruned and unpruned trees, as well as 300-500 year-old ancient trees. Focus will be on the unique traits of different villages, mountains, and collection years.

4. Zisha Teapot Observation and Tasting Session

Observation and tasting of teapots made from different types of Zisha clay, ranging from high-end to more affordable options. The session will focus on the differences in brewing performance and the unique features of each teapot.
